  • Visiting Assistant Professor & Digitial Scholarship Research Coordinator
  • UIC Library

I was recently appointed to the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Library as a Visiting Assistant Professor and Digital Scholarship Research Coordinator. This newly minted role will develop digital scholarship programs and services at the library to support the entire UIC community. I will be teaching graduate courses that specialize in Digital Scholarship, visualization and data analysis.

Prior to UIC, I spent more than 20 years at the University of Arizona (UA)where I served in a variety of roles including assistant dean, director, manager and lecturer. The majority of my career at the UA was characterized by entrepreneurial, collaborative, communicative and transparent leadership while founding and directing the most comprehensive college technical and research support office at the UA. I was also a champion for technology governance and helped to establish several organizations and build numerous initiatives to support this.

I have a BFA in Art, MLS and PhD in Information Science from the UA. My research includes natural language processing, text mining, statistical analysis and information visualization.
